Lift,Carry and Drop

The mass wasting is the downhill movement of Earth material caused by gravity. It depends largely on how steep a slope is. It can happen slowly , particle by particle. It can happen when a buildup of loosened particle can no be longer supported. It can happen after a rain or an earthquake,or anytime.
Grand Canyon is an example of mass wasting.

The sediment is dropped. The dropping off of sediment is called deposition.

A glacier is a huge sheet of ice. Glaciers form when more snow falls in the winter than melts in the summer. An example of a glacier is the valley. Glaciers move like huge, slowly bulldozers. They push loose rocks and soil out.
